Points to NoteDon’t turn on the ignition with any connectors removed or you will be in fault code mayhem.
The terminals I used were Molex – 98658-1211, you require 2 of them and I used 0.75mm copper wire in green about 2meters worth is plenty for the job.
The cruise control stalk part number is 13191079 and was £31.92 form VX
Running the Additional WireGreen and Brown wire from pin20 on the clock spring (connector located behind steering wheel under shroud) to the BCM pin41 of the lower horizontal connector on the BACK of the BCM, when you look at it from in the car (towards the front of the car)
I ran the wire following the routing of the harness already in the car and taping it back to that and across the car through the back of the radio and followed the harness again."
Steering WheelTo remove the steering column shroud turn the wheel 90degress each way and undo the screws behind the covers (Philips screw driver) then undo the t20 torx on the lower cowl half, in the middle access from below put your head in and look up.
To remove the cover from the steering wheel connector snip the cable tie and where the yellow tabs stick through the black housing, lift the housing away and pull on the end of the yellow part, be careful not to break anything.
BCMUndo the t20 torx screw holding on the black under panel, (you can leave this connected but I found it easier to refit if removed separately) the glove box has 4 t20 torx screws two top (inside/open) and two bottom by the black panel ones. Lift the glove box away and the BCM is to the left hand side.
The connector is on the back to get to this look between the BCM and the white plastic and you will find the wiring harness for the connector. You need to push in the release catch and pull the leaver down, it’s the same as the connectors on the front, and practice there could help.
You will then be able to pull the connector out into the foot well to take the cover off and insert the wire.
To remove the cover on the BCM connector cut the cable tie at the top and then lift the tabs at the wire entry end, be careful not to lift them to far or they will snap, and the cover will slide off.
The wire goes in pin 41 this is an inboard pin so place close attention to the pin numbers the connector
Refit is the reverse of above, just ensure the cowl goes back correct (top inside lower) and that the glove box goes back behind the door seal rubber."
